Wasabi is a cloud storage company on a mission to make enterprise-grade data storage fast, affordable, and accessible. For this series of video ads, the brief was high energy, strong branding, and optimized for sound-off viewing with on-screen text. I was given the final audio tracks and built everything around them — hand-drawn elements in Procreate, additional graphics in Photoshop and Illustrator, and full animation and assembly in After Effects. Three themes, three very different creative directions.
For the Security theme, I noticed Wasabi had existing partnerships with NHL teams — so I ran with a goalie as the visual metaphor. Everything thrown at the net, nothing gets past. It clicked.
The second theme called for something more literal. I kept the visual language consistent with the first video — same brand palette, same logo bookends — while finding imagery that could carry the scale of the concept.
The final script was dry and data-heavy, without an obvious visual hook. So I dug into Wasabi's own content history and found a "Wasa-BEE" joke they'd used before. I ran with it. This one was the most fun to make, and honestly it shows.
